Budget concept

Federal revenues

Taxes and other receipts the government collects in a fiscal year.

What this means

Revenues include individual and corporate income taxes, payroll taxes, excise taxes, customs duties, estate and gift taxes, and miscellaneous receipts. CBO and Treasury figures are usually reported in billions of dollars for the federal fiscal year (October–September).
